Frequently Asked Questions
Can you make ultra-thin batteries? What is the minimum thickness?
Yes. LFP pouch cells can be made at approximately 3 × 45 × 64mm (about 3mm thick). Lithium-polymer cells can be customized for ultra-thin or irregular applications such as smart badges, adult products, and wearables. Ultra-thin designs trade off capacity and peak power, so the balance must be evaluated.
Do you offer high-voltage battery models?
Yes. High-voltage 3.8V lithium-polymer models include DTP852750 (1600mAh), DTP413033 (550mAh), and DTP403048 (700mAh). They offer roughly 15% higher energy density than 3.7V cells, but require precisely calibrated BMS cutoff voltages.
Do you support high-rate or high-current discharge?
Yes. Examples include the DTP751355 (3.7V 500mAh, 8C high-rate) and high-discharge DTP403048/DTP413033 models for electric screwdrivers, massagers, beauty devices, and similar products.
Can batteries operate at high or low temperatures?
We support applications in demanding temperature environments. Please specify the operating temperature range so our engineering team can select the appropriate chemistry and protection strategy, such as low-temperature electrolyte and temperature cutoffs.
Can you make irregular or curved batteries?
Yes. C-shaped, U-shaped, hexagonal, and other irregular pouch designs can be customized. Laser welding or FPC connections are used rather than hand soldering to maintain consistency and safety.
What information is needed for a special battery?
Please provide dimensions, voltage, capacity, discharge rate, connector, protection circuit, operating-temperature range, and application. More complete information enables a faster sample design.
How are certifications handled?
MSDS and UN38.3 are available according to the chemistry. We can support CE, CB, KC, and similar certifications; UL support depends on the application.
What is your sample policy?
There is no MOQ for samples, and samples are normally available in 48–72 hours for evaluation. For ultra-thin or irregular products, we recommend confirming the structure and safety boundaries before the first sample.
What are typical applications?
Typical applications include smart badges, adult products, electric massagers, wearables, medical devices, model aircraft, electronic badges, pet products, iPad batteries, and other digital products.
How do you address swelling and safety protection?
We recommend a storage voltage of 3.80–3.85V per cell. BMS temperature cutoffs and incoming-material controls help reduce swelling risk, while irregular pouch cells must be protected from mechanical compression.
